Materials:

Small amount of WW yarn

size "J" crochet hook

*NOTE* pattern is worked holding 2 strands of yarn together throughout

Will fit average size soup bowl

This potholder goes up the sides
of your soup bowl to help
keep your hands from getting
scalded when you eat soup.

Gauge:

Rnd 1 & 2 = 2 1/2" across

Finished size 8" across

Note: Begining ch does NOT count as first stitch.

Ch 3

Rnd 1: 10 dc in 3rd ch from hook, join with sl st to first dc. (10dc)

Rnd 2: ch 2, 2 dc in same st as join, 2 dc in each dc around, join with sl st to first dc. (20dc)

Rnd 3: ch 2, 1 dc in same st as join, 2 dc in next st, (1 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st) around, join with sl st to first dc. (30dc)

Rnd 4: ch 2, 1 dc in same st as join, 1 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, (1 dc in next 2 st, 2 dc in next st) around, join with sl st to first dc. (40dc)

Rnd 5: ch 2, 1 dc in same st as join, 1 dc in each st around, join with sl st to first dc. (40dc)

Rnd 6: ch 2, 1 dc in same st as join, 1 dc in next 2 st, 2 dc in next st, (1 dc in next 3 st, 2 dc in next st) around, join with sl st to first dc. (50dc)

Rnd 7: ch 1, 1 sc in same st as join, 1 sc in each st around, join with sl st to first dc. (50sc)

Finish off, weave in ends.
