Approximately 5oz WW yarn (I used Red Heart Lt Grey)

Size "I" crochet hook

Finished size: approximately 8 1/2" x 11"

Gauge:

Gauge is not important for this project.

Bag

Note: Beginning ch 2 does NOT count as first stitch on Button Flap and Handle.

Ch 81

Row 1: sk 1st 3 ch, dc in next 6 ch, 3 dc in next ch, *dc in next 6 ch, dc dec over next 3 ch, dc in next 6 ch, 3 dc in next ch* 4 times, dc in next 5 ch, dc dec over next 2 ch, ch 3, turn.

Row 2-12: sk 1st st, dc in next 6 st, 3 dc in next st, *dc in next 6 st, dc dec over next 3 st, dc in next 6 st, 3 dc in next st* 4 times, dc in next 5 st, dc dec over next 2 st, ch 3, turn.

Row 13: sk 1st st, dc in next 2st, hdc in next 2 st, sc in next 5 st, *hdc in next 2 st, dc in next 7 st, hdc in next 2 st, sc in next 5 st* 4 times, hdc in next 2 st, dc dec over next 2 st, ch 2, turn.

Row 14: dc in 1st 3 st, hdc in next 9 st, *dc in next 7 st, hdc in next 9 st* 4 times, dc in remaing st, ch 2, turn.

Row 15: dc in each st across, ch 1.

Fold bag in half lengthwise, sc or sl st up side seam, fasten off.

Adjust bag so ripples are off-set, sc or sl st along bottom (flat edge) of bag, fasten off.

Button Flap

Working in center valley of bag back, attach with sl st 2 st to right of center of valley.

Row 1: ch 2, dc in same st as joining, dc in next 4 st, ch 2, turn.

Row 2-5: dc in each st across, ch 2, turn.

Row 6: dc in 1st 2 st, sk next st, dc in next 2 st, ch 1, turn.

Row 7: sc in each st across. Fasten off.

Handle

Working in left valley of bag front, attach with sl st 2 st to right of center of valley.

Row 1: ch 2, dc in same st as joining, dc in next 4 st, ch 2, turn.

Row 2-12: dc in each st across, ch 2, turn.

Row 13: dc in each st across, ch 1.

Turn bag inside out, attach handle to back at oppsite hill with sc or sl st. Fasten off.

Turn bag right side out. Sew on button to front of bag. Weave in ends.
